' Youth Leadership Against Drugs, Gambling and Violence '

The Building Responsible Citizens and Safe Communities Project (BRCSCP) is a comprehensive youth development and crime prevention initiative aimed at addressing the growing challenges of drug abuse, gambling, cybercrime, violence, and juvenile delinquency among vulnerable urban youth in Bangladesh. Implemented by BRDO, the project seeks to foster responsible citizenship, strengthen community resilience, and empower young people to become positive leaders and change-makers within their communities.

Bangladesh's rapidly urbanizing communities, particularly densely populated urban slums, face increasing social challenges that place young people at risk of engaging in harmful behaviors. Limited access to education, recreation, mentorship, and positive social support systems often contributes to vulnerability to drugs, gambling, cybercrime, and other forms of antisocial activities. These issues not only affect individual lives but also undermine social harmony, public safety, and community development.

Recognizing these challenges, BRCSCP adopts a preventive and community-centered approach that combines awareness raising, youth leadership development, family engagement, mentorship, digital safety education, and community mobilization. The project aims to build a generation of informed, responsible, and socially conscious young citizens who can contribute positively to society and help create safer communities for all.
