Climate Resilience: Adapting to Environmental Challenges
Climate Resilience: Adapting to Environmental Challenges
BRDO is committed to strengthening the resilience of vulnerable communities facing the growing impacts of climate change. Through its Climate Resilience Program, the organization works to empower communities with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to adapt to environmental challenges and build a sustainable future.
Bangladesh is among the countries most affected by climate-related risks, including floods, cyclones, droughts, river erosion, salinity intrusion, and extreme weather events. These challenges disproportionately impact poor and marginalized populations, threatening livelihoods, food security, health, and overall well-being.
The Climate Resilience Project promotes community-led adaptation strategies that enhance environmental sustainability, disaster preparedness, and long-term resilience. By integrating climate-smart practices, ecosystem conservation, and community participation, the project helps reduce vulnerability and strengthen adaptive capacity.
